I will try to dig that out, from an old album and share. That was possibly taken in great-grandma’s home in Weliveriya. The only photo I have of you is one taken in my childhood where you are teaching me how to hold a cricket bat. Was it at Fatima Church? Do you have photos to show that indeed I played bestman?! I remember you both, as achiever sportsmen/women when I was practising for the Public Schools Nationals myself. Thank you for jogging my fading memory and reminding me that I was your bestman when you both were married. Had I kept in touch with you and realised that you were in Melbourne, I would have visited you. I came to Australia last June to visit my relatives from Amma’s side, who are spread out in 4 cities, as they too were growing old. I regret missing that opportunity to see Indrani before she herself passed. I am really sorry that I could not meet you both when you came to see my father before he passed away. Hopefully, I will get to meet them sometime in the future. I have heard bits about the basketball and football playing daughter in the US. What beautiful, talented, achieving and caring children you and Indrani have brought up in your own mold. Thank you for sharing the funeral service video which I watched with nostaligic emotion as your daughters Veronica and Chantella especially as well as Indrani’s brother read out their memories and tributes.
